PEACE OUT WORKSHOP

Goal:  To provide innovative techniques for managing anger and developing healthier ways of relating with others.  This program combines traditional group treatment approaches with physical/sports activity and team/leadership skill building.   Parents are expected to be involved and to promote commitment to the program

  • This program is for adolescent boys and girls between the ages of 13 to 17 (will be assigned to age- and gender- appropriate group).  Participants are selected after interview of the minor and family.
  • The minor may be on probation, high risk for involvement in the juvenile justice system, or high-risk for suspension or expulsion from school due to behavior. 
  • Refreshments and snacks are included. 
  • The program is absolutely free.  Space in each group is limited to 12 members only. 
  • Parent involvement is required at scheduled parent and family meetings
